planeta ORGANICA's cotton fabrics are hand woven, made with hand-spun threads which dyed by natural plants. Can be washed in a washing machine. If you wash by hand, the color and texture will last longer.
Products are washed once after being made into garment or bedding, but there may be some discoloration or shrinkage after the first or second washing.
If you pay attention to the followings, you can maintain the texture and color for a long time. Please use a detergent that is fluorescent-free and bleach-free. Alternatively, use an additive-free soap or a shampoo to maintain original softness and color of natural material.
For hemp, spread or stretch the fabric to avoid wrinkles as the fabric dries. Don't wring wet or damp hemp before drying, it breaks the yarn fibers down and creates unnecessary wrinkles. We do not recommend to use a dryer, it will cause a significant fabric shrinkage. It might feels stiff after washing, but it becomes softer and fit your skin as you use it.
As a feature of hand spinning cotton, water absorption is poor at first and you may notice pieces of dead leaves or fluffs in fibers, but these will gradually come off and become soft.
